Robin Trower (born 9 March 1945 in Catford, England) has played guitar professionally since his teen years. The most most successful band in his early age was group the Paramounts, with fellow High School pupil Gary Brooker. Paramounts disbanded in 1966 and after some time Trower joined Brooker's new band Procol Harum. Brooker just finished a worldwide hit "A Whiter Shade of Pale" and offered the guitar slot in his new project to his old friend. As a result, Trower appeared on Procol Harum classics first five albums.
Robin left Procol Harum after the release of their 5th Album, "Broken Barricades" to form his own Robin Trower Band in 1973. Same year Trower with his new band released debut album "Twice Removed From Yesterday" on Chrysalis Records, heralded the beginning of a career that has spanned four decades and continues to this day.
