Paco Cepero (born in 1942, Jerez de la Frontera, Cádiz) is renowned for his knowledge of the flamenco repertoire and his passionate love for flamenco music. He is one of the few remaining artists, whose music is the key for an understanding of pure flamenco. He began to teach himself the guitar when he was eight, his main influences being Diego del Gastor, Javier Molina Cundí and Rafael del Águila.
He made his debut at the age of 16 he as a professional in the Grand Theatre Falla in Cadiz.
He has accompanied countless flamenco singers, including Camarón de la Isla since the 1970s, not only in live concerts, but also in the recording studio. Since his return to Jerez in 2000, he has concentrated solely on 'pure flamenco'.
