Cheryl Grice-Watterson
Born in 1953 in Yorkshire, England, Cheryl Grice-Watterson began playing the guitar at the early age of 8. In 1974 she won the 'Concorso Internazionale di Chitarra di Alessandria' and appeared on Italian Television playingwith the Alessandro Scarlatti orchestra. Later Cheryl also appeared many times on BBC television performing on the Julian Bream Masterclass Series for BBC2.

In 1983, Cheryl took time away from performing to raise 5 children and focus on her teaching. In 1997, Cheryl and her family emigrated to New Zealand where she became head of Guitar at the Nelson School of Music, and resumed her solo performing career. From 2011 Cheryl is also founding member of the the New Zealand Guitar Quartet.
