Adam Rafferty was born and raised in Harlem, New York. He started to play guitar early at the age of 6. By 19 he was already playing guitar professionally. For some time he was playing subways, street corners and New York's clubs.
Soon later Adam has played with some of the world's greatest musicians at music festivals and concert halls. Among those big name are Dr. Lonnie Smith, The Dizzy Gillespie Big Band, Bennie Wallace and bassist Bob Cranshaw.
Adam has released total 8 CD (first 4 in trio). His first solo acoustic album was "Gratitude" in 2007 with solo guitar arrangements of popular songs by Stevie Wonder, The Beatles and many more. Next 2008 "Chameleon" solo album includes arrangements of more jazzy tunes, including Herbie Hancock's title composition. In 2010 Adam has released Christmas solo album "A Christmas Guitar Celebration" with solo guitar arrangements of most popular Christmas songs, carols and hymns.
Finally in 2011 he has released "I Remember Michael" tribute album with arrangements of most popular Michael Jackson's songs.
Rafferty also released 4 instructional DVDs with his most popular arrangements.
