Often reeferred to as the 'father of modern Chicago blues', Muddy Waters was one of the foremost artists in blues history. He transformed traditional Delta blues into the electric Chicago blues style. Muddy Waters classics, “Got My Mojo Working,” “Manish Boy,” “I Just Want to Make Love to You,” “Hoochie Coochie Man,” “I'm Ready” became blues canon. Waters won six Grammys and countless other honors. In 1987, Waters was posthumously inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Muddy Waters' music has influenced several big names in music business, including Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck and Johnny Winter. The Rolling Stones named themselves after Muddy Waters' 1950 song "Rollin' Stone".
