Kenny Burrell
Kenny Burrell is one of most reputable jazz guitarist and highly influential musician grounded in bebop and blues. He founded the New World Music Society where he collaborated with Pepper Adams, Donald Byrd, Elvin Jones, and Yusef Lateef. He recorded with Dizzy Gillespie, toured with Oscar Peterson, worked as a recording sidemen, performing with singers Tony Bennett, Lena Horne, Billie Holiday and with Jimmy Smith, Gene Ammons, and Kenny Dorham. Kenny was also one who replaced Charlie Christian in Benny Goodman's band.
In 1957 Kenny Burrell recorded his best known album "Midnight Blue" with Stanley Turrentine.
