Australia born, Grammy winning jazz fusion guitar virtuoso, Frank Gambale has released twenty albums and wrote more than 250 songs published. He has originated the “sweep picking” technique (a new way to play the instrument), now standard in the guitar lexicon. From 1987, he spent six years as a member of the Chick Corea Elektric Band and shared two Grammy Award nominations. CIn 2011 he joined Corea's Return to Forever IV with Stanley Clarke, Jean-Luc Ponty, and Lenny White. In 2016 Gambale started an online guitar school, teaching sweep picking and economy picking technique.Gambale has been featured on the covers of many guitar and jazz-orientated magazines worldwide and inspired many notable guitarists, including Synyster Gates, Dweezil Zappa, Greg Howe and Pat Metheny.
