Educated at James Madison University in Virginia and the University of Southern California, Andrew York studied guitar also in Spain, where he met John Williams. Since 1997 when he became a member of the Los Angeles Guitar Quartet. York won 2 Grammy Awards, one as a member of LAGQ, and second for his solo music career. Andrew also gintinues his solo career with great success, but even more he's focused on composing and has published over 50 works for solo guitar, duo, trio, quartet, and ensemble. His compositions were recorded by many top classical guitarists, including John Williams, Christopher Parkening, and Sharon Isbin.
